11 Days - departs Cairns 
Grade: Easy to Moderate

This trip combines many of the best activities and areas to be 
found in Far North Queensland into a trip full of Adrenalin, Action, 
Fun and Adventure!

Day 1: Arrive Cairns transfer to the Palm Royale, meet and greet 6.30pm.

Day 2: Canoeing on the Mulgrave River, overnight Mountain 
View Hotel.

Days 3-4: Bike through local villages on both sealed and gravel roads. Visit Lake Eacham Crater lake, Yungaburra and Malanda Falls, overnight at historic Lake Eacham Hotel. An early rise provides an opportunity to view the unique and elusive Duck Billed Platypus. Bike Rainforest trails in Danbulla Forest. Explore Wright’s Creek Falls, lakes Tinnaroo and Barrine. Riding time is approximately 5 hours a day of undulating terrain. A support vehicle is in attendance wherever possible.

Days 5-6: Hike through the rainforest on ancient Aboriginal trails in the shadow of Mount Bartle Frere, Queensland’s highest mountain. Walk through lush tropical rainforest and past giant trees. Camp above a 50m (170ft) waterfall and sleep comfortably in a hammock, suspended over a luminous mushroom carpet, in the middle of an ancient rainforest wilderness. After breakfast and a relaxed start to the day set off for the return journey by a different route, we cross mountain streams and stop for lunch and a swim at the Upper Chucka Lunga crossing. Leave in time to walk out and return to Cairns and the Palm Royale.

Days 7-8: Two incredible days snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef onboard your sail vessel.

Days 9-11: Three days sea kayaking the uninhabited Barnard Islands, 2 nights camp.

DEPARTURES: 
Every Sunday from Apr 16 to Nov 26 (inclusive).

INCLUSIONS: 
All meals from breakfast on day 2, accommodation from quality hotels to rustic country pubs, transfers, all equipment for listed activities including camping, snorkelling gear and sleeping bag, all safety equipment, National park fees and permits, knowledgeable and experienced guides.

EXCLUSIONS: 
Cost of scuba diving (available on both the 1 and 2 day trips), items of a personal nature, Great Barrier Reef Marine Park fees
